I have worked in the financial industry since 2018 however I have worked in client support roles for many years. I feel my strength lies in supporting first time buyers. It can be a daunting process and I offer reassurance and essentially am there to ‘hold hands’ throughout.
Professional Experience
- Current Role: As a CSM my role is to support our clients all the way through to completion during what can be a stressful process. This ranges from supporting first time buyers, clients remortgaging their current property and clients with investment properties. I liaise with lenders and conveyancers and I can also support clients with things such as choosing a home buyers survey and home insurance. I am a point of contact and support that our clients can come to if they need any of the homebuying or remortgaging process explained and I assist with packaging the mortgage application and most importantly, helping to get the mortgage offer issued.
- Previous Roles: I have previously worked as a CSM from 2018-2021 for a small IFA and prior to that I worked for a local tourist attraction supporting clients with the companies membership scheme. I chose to continue my career in mortgages as it is very rewarding being able to assist someone is something that can be life changing for them. By far the most rewarding part of my job is telling a first time buyer they have a mortgage offer!

Why did you choose a career in mortgages?
Having previously worked as a CSM from 2018-2021 for a small IFA, I chose to continue my career in mortgages as it is very rewarding being able to assist someone is something that can be life changing for them. By far the most rewarding part of my job is telling a first time buyer they have a mortgage offer!
How do you approach working with new clients?
When approaching working with a new client, I will always take time to familiarise myself with their circumstances and I will contact them to let them know that I will be there to support them throughout their journey.
What do you find most rewarding about your work?
The part I love most about my role is letting clients know their mortgage offer has been issued, especially first time buyers and clients remortgaging to consolidate their debts. Being able to pass on the news that their application has been successful is very rewarding.
